Was the end of this week's Pretty Little Liars the beginning of serious trouble for one main character?
On "The Bad Seed," evidence against Ian turned into a major problem for the core four, as the hour concluded with Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily being taken away by the police. Interrogation awaits next Monday, and the following previews make it clear that at least one Rosewood High School student might become a prime suspect in Alison's murder.

'Pretty Little Liars' promotes Justin Bieber's movie in new show clip

ABC Family and "Pretty Little Liars" have been able to achieve something rare -- initiate product-placement in a way that somehow also makes sense. Specifically, we are talking in this case about Justin Bieber and his upcoming "Never Say Never" movie, which opens in theaters on February 11.
The clip itself is actually pretty quick -- Hannah is talking to Caleb about her love for the 16-year old star, which is something that the teen boy scoffs at. (Of course, in reality Caleb is probably juts jealous as so many teen boys are in the attention Justin gets from ladies around the planet.)
"Liars" has been a runaway hit for ABC Family, and Paramount Pictures has done everything int heir power to ensure that people are well aware of Bieber's movie coming to theaters -- whether or not anyone outside of his primary fan base will turn up is an entirely different story.

ABC Family “Pretty Little Liars” Episode “Careful What U Wish 4″

A brand new episode of the ABC Family show “Pretty Little Liars” will air tonight, January 24th, at 8pm ET/PT. The episode is titled “Careful What U Wish 4.”
In the episode the school is busy getting ready for a dance-a-thon and Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have more to think about than just raising money for the school trip. Hanna is having trouble finding a job to help her family out, but “A” ends up having a job for her – will she take it?
Emily can only think of Maya and is desperate to get the chance to talk to her. She enlists the help of Caleb, the new bad boy at school. Also during the episode, Spencer finds being in close contact with her new brother-in-law is more difficult than ever when an important piece of property goes missing. Uh oh.
In addition, Aria’s former babysitter, Simone, comes back into town for a visit. But will it be as happy a reunion as it should be? Probably not!

ABC Family hit "Pretty Little Liars" bringing in new characters, new scandals

Expect ABC Family's hit "Pretty Little Liars" to go off-book in its second season. The show, based on Sara Shepard's eight-book series, will be introducing characters that aren't seen in the pages of the original source material.

"I want to stay true to the characters from the book, but will write in detours to keep the series going," said executive producers I. Marlene King.

Staying true to those characters means serving up a heaping plate of scandal. Take, for example, Aria (played by Lucy Hale), who had a torrid relationship with her English teacher. "They are soul-mates" said executive producer Oliver Goldstick, but that doesn't make the relationship any easier. Even worse, she's threatened with exposure when another student discovers their secret.
Emily, played by Shay Mitchell, has another compelling storyline when she discovered her sexuality and came out to her parents. "I am so honored and couldn't be more proud to do that" for the gay 

'Pretty Little Liars' 1.13 Preview: Know Your Frenemies

"Pretty Little Liars" gasp when watching a footage that reveals who the guy last seen with Alison is. In "Know Your Frenemies", Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa and Ian, even though her suspicions of Ian's ties to Alison grow.

Meanwhile, relationships are in flux in Rosewood, PA as the Liars face many obstacles. As Noel steps up his pursuit of Ezra and what he can gain from his knowledge, Aria and Ezra start to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pam's perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt.

But with the other girls' support and unexpected help form an unlikely source, the future for the Liars doesn't look so hopeless. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old habit hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the will power to stand up to "A" and her games?

The episode airs Monday, January 17 on ABC Family. During TCA Press Tour, the network announced that the show is coming back for season 2.
