He’s had quite the successful year, so it comes as no surprise that Justin Bieber's “Never Say Never” is in the running for an Oscar nomination.Earlier this week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released its list of the 41 songs eligible for the Original Song category at this year’s annual awards.
The Biebs’ song, in which he teamed up with Jaden Smith to do, is the theme tune for the remake of “Karate Kid.”
“Never Say Never” is in the running with Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Coming Home” and “Me and Tennesee,” along with a trio of songs from Christina Aguilera’s “Burlesque,” among many others.
The nominations will be announced on January 25 at 8:30 EST.
